GARY BOWLING’S HOUSE OF ART
Gary Bowling’s House of Art sits inside the old Ramsey School in Bluefield, a building that's got as much character as the art hanging on its walls. Built in 1926, the school served generations of local kids before it found a second life. Today, it holds works from artists all across Appalachia—paintings, sculptures, and pieces that don't fit neatly into any box. The building itself is a wonder, listed in Ripley’s Believe It or Not for having entrances on seven different levels.
