Prefer good ol’ American classics? Here’s what Princeton has to offer:

What to do

When you’re through with the slopes, head into town for a change of pace. Princeton has entertainment for kids, adults, and kids at heart.

Family adventures
Make memories sweet with a trip to Coal Country Kandies. Using traditional methods, skilled confectioners whip up batches of brownies, chocolate-dipped apples and Twinkies, cake pops, and much more.

Once you’ve polished off a cupcake or two, get ready for art. Pottery Time has paint-your-own ceramic bowls, mugs, and figurines. It’s a great way to make your own souvenir!

Indoor entertainment
Winter is a great time for sleuthing. If you love riddles, try “The Captain’s Cabin” at Out of the Box Room Escape. It’s an interactive mystery set within a “locked” room. See if you can solve the clues and exit before time’s up!

Prefer watching drama rather than participating in it? The Chuck Mathena Center has plays, interactive shows, ballet, and concerts all year.

Galleries
As part of Mercer County’s Certified Arts Community, Princeton sparkles with personality. Both sides of Mercer Street have eye-catching murals. That’s just what you see on the outside, too. Park the car and see what waits for you inside!

First up: the new Holler: Contemporary Art Gallery, which focuses on Appalachian talent. Exhibits from local and regional artists rotate throughout the year. Genres are just as diverse; expect anything from abstract sculptural works to photo collages. You can also purchase artwork and take lessons in the upstairs studio.

Another Princeton highlight is The RiffRaff Art Collective. The multi-story building features sculptures, music production, dance, paintings, and more. It also has several events throughout the year. If you’re in town on Monday, stop by for Open Stage Night for family-friendly music, poetry readings, or dance.

Enjoy your stay in Princeton!
