WHERE TO GO AFTER VISITING THIS ALMOST HEAVEN SWING
High above Bluefield, West Virginia, the Almost Heaven swing at the East River Mountain Overlook has quickly become one of Mercer County’s most photographed spots. Installed in 2023 as one of the first swings that year, it has become a go-to backdrop for milestone moments — from proms and graduations to family portraits and date nights. The rustic wooden swings scattered throughout the state have built a loyal following, offering the perfect spot to pause, breathe in the mountain air and capture a lasting memory. But when it’s time to head back down the mountain, there’s still plenty to see and do nearby. Here are a few great stops just minutes from the Almost Heaven swing to keep your day going.
