Make it Valentine’s Month in Mercer County!

Valentine’s Day doesn’t have to be limited to one day! Celebrate romance with a month full of dates for you and someone special. Candlelit dinners, DIY projects and fun events are center stage this month in Mercer County.

Romantic Meals

If a candlelit dinner is your idea of the perfect Valentine’s Day, Mercer County restaurants are rolling out the red carpet for you!

Make reservations for The Blue Spoon’s Eat, Drink & Be Mine event on February 14 or 15! A special menu will be served for these two nights only and decor will be provided by Exclusive Events by Erin.

On February 14 from 6 – 10 pm, David’s Downtown in Bluefield will have a Valentine’s Sweetheart Dinner with a full buffet. Reservations are recommended, so call today!

On February 14, 15 or 16, visit The Corner Shop in Bramwell for a candlelit dinner. This cozy, old-fashioned soda fountain will serve up a romantic meal with a side of nostalgia. Reservations are recommended.

At Coal Country Kandies and Cafe, enjoy dinner and dessert for two! The cafe will have a Sweetheart Special, complete with dinner, chocolate covered strawberries and other Valentine’s Day goodies. Contact them to make your reservations!

Get Crafty

Take on a new project together! On February 8 and 9, Hammer & Stain in Princeton is partnering with Let Your Art Shine to help you create a Valentine’s Day to remember. On Couple’s Night at Hammer and Stain, work together to make a unique pair of signs to display in your home that showcase your love.

Want to attend one of the Hammer and Stain events but don’t have anyone to watch the kids? Bring them to Let Your Art Shine for Parent’s Night Out from 5:30 – 7:30! Kids will be entertained with pottery painting, games, crafts and snacks.

Special Events

Sometimes, getting dressed up and going to a special event is the best way to celebrate!

Don your best red attire and attend La Rouge – A Red Dress Art Event at The RiffRaff Arts Collective on February 8! Enjoy complimentary wine, cheese and other treats. Listen to live music from local artists and browse the boutique’s selection of art, jewelry and more.

Valentine’s Day for Veterans at the Chuck Mathena Center will provide an evening full of entertainment on February 14! Live music is the main attraction, with performances from America’s Got Talent winner Landau Eugene Murphy Jr., The Voice’s Maiya Sykes and more. The event will also be hosted by Gilligan’s Island’s Mary Ann – Dawn Wells! Tickets are available now.

If theater is more your style, don’t miss A House Divided, A Sequel to The Eleventh Hour presented by 4 Pals Productions. This long awaited play will premiere at the Chuck Mathena Center on February 22 and 23. Performances will also take place at the Bluefield Area Arts Center on March 7, 8 and 9.
